Spanish youth team coach sacked because his team won 25 - 0

The scoreline was too much hence the need to relieve the coach of his duties
- Serrano B had to sack its head coach because his team was winning to much - The team defeated Benicalap C 25 - 0 but the club management was not happy - Club Management felt the team did not respect their fellow under-11 team The coach of a Spanish youth side was sacked after his team win a league match 25 - 0 because the extremely one-sided scoreline went against the spirit of the game at youth level.
The coach of Serrano B, an u-11 team, was relieved of his duties after his team beat fellow Valencia side Benicalap C on 3 June.

The club Management felt the team did not respect their fellow under-11 team and the scoreline went against the spirit of the game at youth level.

“We believe in encouraging respect for your opponents. After the result, we decided that the manager should leave,” Pablo Alcaide, who helps run the side, told El Pais. The manager’s lawyer however said his client didn’t push his players as hard as he could have done, insisting Serrano B could have scored even more than the 25 goals they netted without response. “The manager instead instructed his side ‘to pressure only in their own half’ in the eight-a-side game, but Benicalap C ‘continued to attack and left spaces in behind", the lawyer said. The fixture was Benicalap C’s final match of the season, in which they finished bottom of the division without a single point and 247 goals conceded from their 30 matches.
