           Chelsea beat Man U. on Sunday evening, shutting up the mouth of Antonio Conte's critics, following their inconsistent Premier league title defense this season. Jose Mourinho, started with a defensive line up of Jones, Smalling and Eric Bailly while his wing-backs were Valencia and Young while Chelsea started with Fabregas, Kante and Bakayoko in midfield to close Man U's ranks.

            Billed as one of the biggest games this weekend, and rightly so- Man City took on Arsenal FC at the Etihad on Sunday knowing that a win would solidify their position at the top of the table no matter the result between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Three goals from Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus with a Lacazette effort sandwiched in between was all that was needed for Man City to gain the much needed three points. Before kick off, Sergio Kun Aguero, was given a 'Guard of honour' and presented with an award as he recently became City's all time leading goal scorer.

The 7-foot-7-inch teen, who was born in Romania, hit 7 feet at just 12 years old. His father is 7 '1', while his mum is 6 feet tall. He moved from Romania to the US when he  was 14. Reports in Spain claim that Deniz Aytekin may be removed from UEFA  Champions League duty following his display, which was marred by a number of controversial decisions, according to The Independent. The German official’s decision not to award PSG a penalty when Javier Mascherano brought down Angel di Maria in the box has fallen under particular scrutiny. Mascherano later admitted, “It is clear that I did foul Di Maria but I think that is not the reason why we eliminated PSG.”

                            Fans of French club, PSG, have threatened players and  their family members upon their return to Paris after the club's shocking 6-5 aggregate loss and total capitulation  on Wednesday  night at the hands of Barcelona following a 4-0 first leg home win. According to the club, the players were insulted and their cars vandalized as fans  created an 'extremely hostile and aggressive climate' as they waited to confront the French team at Bourget Airport with one person hit by a car during the incident.

              Barcelona simply displayed magic on Wednesday night as they did what no other team had done before in the history of the UEFA champions league- they beat French club PSG, 6-1 at the camp Nou after suffering a 4-0 thrashing in the first leg.  It all looked like a bad day for PSG from the beginning of the match as they set up defensively, resting talisman Angel di Maria in the first half and various defensive mistakes led to Barca's first goal - a strike from Luis Suarez on the third minute.

                                     It wasn't really a good time for Manchester United's Marco Rojo, after he learnt that his cousin, Geronimo Rojo, was shot dead by a retired police officer he was trying to rob at  Rojo's native city of La Plata an hour’s drive south-east of the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires. The 17-year-old boy who was shot by the 50-year-old ex-police officer, died after he was rushed to a hospital in the early hours of Monday. His accomplice who died on the spot was  identified as 26-year-old Ivan Rodrigo Barbosa. More pictures after the cut;

                      Nigeria International, Victor Moses has signed new contract with Chelsea, the club announced today. The 26-year-old winger's previous deal was due to expire in 2019 but Moses has now extended his stay until 2021 after he put pen to paper today, March 1st. Moses has been one of the stars and an important part of the Blues'  success this season, with the club on course for the Premier League title, having been converted by boss Antonio Conte into a right wing-back, a role he's taken to effortlessly.
