Family of Bungoma boy who died in a car as his mother was doing kerewa seeks money for burial    

- An eight-year-old boy died when his mother locked him in a car and went to a lodging to entertain her lover

 - The mother and the lover were arrested and are held behind bars
 - Now the boy's family is appealing for KSh 75,000 (N228,000) to help in his burial plans

Christine Nasimiyu and her lover left the son, Enos Barasa, and rushed to a nearby lodging near Mateka market in Bumula, not knowing they were endangering the life of the child. "The poverty stricken family from Luanda polytechnic in Ekitale West Sang'alo Ward can't afford a shilling leave alone food. The family spokesperson Mr.Benson Barasa is appealing to well wishers to stand with them during this trying moment.

Photos have emerged showing the impoverished state of his home even as his mother is behind bars awaiting prosecution. 

Julius Barasa, the Mateka location chief said: "The baby died due to lack of fresh air. We arrested them and took them to Bumula police station and the body of the boy taken to Bungoma County Referral Hospital mortuary."
