BREAKING NEWS: Ghanian fastest rapper Sarkodie shot dead at the movida night club
Superstar, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known in showbiz as ‘Sarkodie’ is confirmed dead in Johannesburg, South Africa following ashooting incident at the Movida Club inSunninghill last night.The deceased, Ghanaian fastest rapper who was in the company of his South African girlfriend (name withheld), was shot twice in the chest in his car when he was about to drive off.Police sources say a close South African friend, Richard Malema to the late Ghanaian music Maestro and one of the dancers of the club who were close to the scene would be crucial to police investigations.Eye witnesses claim the man who pulled the trigger drove off quickly in a black Hyundai Accent car.
Investigators say efforts to trace Malema to assist in investigations haveso far proven futile.The police say they also have left messages after their two consecutive visits to his house that Malema reports at the CID headquarters to assist in investigations but he has not honoured any of the invitations.Another source discloses, a friend of the deceased claims that a few weeks after Sarkodie returned from London, he (Sarkodie) informed him that he hada business deal with some guys in the UK which turned violent.Sarkosdie was said to have involved in a verbal wrangling with one of his business associates in London, which nearly resulted in exchange of blows.He said a week before he was shot at,
the deceased showed him a text message which read “You are crawling slowly to your grave, we are closing in on you”.An exhaustive investigations also revealed that the South African girlfriend of the deceased had confused the investigators by giving scanty information to the police.“She does not know the kind of deal herboyfriend had with his UK business associates, she does not know where he came from to Johannesburg that’s either from Uk directly or from Ghana his homeland, the actual day he arrivedin South Africa.
“She told us she did not know that the deceased had once involved in a flopped deal in the UK and that the firsttime she met the deceased was the day before attending to Movida Club , which turned out to be false,” a police source told .According to the source, investigationsso far into the incident are pointing to one Frank White a businessman in Ghana who is dubbed as tycoon who usually transacts business in London as the prime suspect.
