Wiley Day escaped being electrocuted to death, after his charger came lose and a metal dog tag he was wearing was stuck on it. The 34-year-old Alabama man, who woke with the electric shock he got, while sleeping with his cellphone charging by his bed side on that Wednesday night, managed to rip the necklace off but not before suffering second and third-degree burns to his neck and hands.

According to Efcc Chiko who shared the story on Facebook, a flying bird allegedly fell down and turned into a human being after it got electrocuted. she wrote 'Bird flying at Agip junction fell and turned into Human being .. This morning along Agip, Port-Harcourt a bird that was flying got electrocuted and fell. The little terrified boy standing behind the signpost rushed to pick the bird and immediately it turned to this wretched horrifying looking dead woman. Making everyone run (even those shouting the BLOOD OF JESUS).

The police have arrested a minister with the Mountain of Fire Ministry, Oshodi District, Lagos Pastor  Franklin Chinedu for allegedly defrauding a widow, Charity Onje Isaac who was paid her late husband’s gratuity. According to P.M.EXPRESS, the victim, Charity was deceived through a false prophecy and lost the N850,000 she was paid by her late husband’s employer, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN. The incident happened at Biliaminu Close, Oke-Afa area of Isolo where the victim allegedly surrendered the money as requested by Chinedu.

President Muhammadu Buhari will visit Sambisa Forest, the former enclave of Boko Haram on Monday to declare open the Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship, NASAC 2017. The insurgency group, Boko Haram, who at the peak of it’s siege on the nation occupied towns in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, made the Sambisa Forest their stronghold and strategic headquarters until they were pushed out by the military on Christmas eve, last year. The military had subsequently declared the former game reserve as a proposed site for military institution, building roads into it and kick-starting the new status of Sambisa Forest with the hosting of the annual Small Arms Competition. The competition which starts on Monday is expected to be hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari. A man named Daniel Ebem has been brutally murdered allegedly by his elder brother's son, Chigbo Edem because Daniel 'refused to help him succeed in life'. Nollywood script writer, director & producer Chike Bryan Nnamani, a father of five, has died after he received a call from home while on his way to work, suddenly developed a stroke and died hours later after he was admitted at Lagos State University Teaching hospital. Chike Bryan's colleague narrated what happened. Here's his story: I never knew we could be close; never expected to weep for a friend who turned out to be a buddy. A guy who held no grudge, malice or hate in his good heart against another. Today, he’s no more. His bit is done here on earth. I will always remember him. 

A knife wielding stunt man in Akokwa, in Ideato North of  Imo State, has left many people awed with the latest strings he pulled. He was seen walking around with a blood stained singlet,  and a knife stuck deep in his stomach.

An Ogun Statae landlady has landed in police net, after the army officers she invited to beat her tenant, left him dead after the assault. This is coming after the story of the deceased,  who was reportedly dumped in the streets of Ogun went viral. Punch reports that an eyewitness alleged that the deceased’s landlady invited the soldiers after a misunderstanding ensued between them, over the two-month rent arrears the victim owed. However, on arriving the scene of the incident at 10 Prince Jamiu Oyebade Street, Ogijo, the soldiers manhandled and brutalized the deceased, landing him in the Pillars Hospital, Ogijo.

Many people, including medical experts, seem to be pointing to depression as the possible cause for Dr Allwell Oji’s tragic suicide. However, two renowned Ifa priests have maintained a different stance. They believe that the likely cause of Dr Allwell Oji's decision to commit suicide was either because he was controlled using an African traditional technique or the lagoon is hungry and angry.  In an attempt to solve the mystery of what really caused Dr Oji's demise, NewTelegraphonline consulted Ifa priests, Chief Omo-Oba Olorunwa Ayekonilogbon and Chief Yemi Elebuibon, another well-known Ifa priest. And they said:

Last Monday at Boundary road Shasha, Akowonjo area Egbeda in Lagos, a woman, who a Nigerian pastor addressed as a witch, was accused of transforming into an owl. Photos went viral after Pastor Stephen Ihesiabia, the General Overseer of The Lord's Army Ministry, shared them on Facebook. He had claimed that the woman who was allegedly in the form of an owl, was flying either going to or from a meeting when she crash landed after thunder struck her. Source said as the rain was showering last night and the witch was flying that thunder struck and a very big black bird fell down. Sources around the environs at that moment said the big black bird began to struggle with a dog and people came out and hit the bird with a broom and it turned to this woman. 

Fresh insights have emerged as to why Allwell Orji, a 35-year-old medical doctor with the Papa Ajao branch of Mount Sinai Hospital, decided to take his own life by jumping into the lagoon in Lagos last Sunday. A close associate of the deceased doctor told The Nation that he (Orji) once confided in him that he was fed up with life and “wanted to end it all.” He said: “We were close and we often discussed about his life. He was a brilliant young man and he liked helping people. He was in the habit of taking part in free medical outreaches and he loved to study. “Despite his condition, he was still studying further. He ought to be rounding off his  post-graduate studies which would have enabled him to become a consultant,” the young associate said.

Coming after suspects who murdered Cynthia Osukogu; Okwumo Nwabufor and Olisaeloka Ezike – were sentenced to death, while two alleged accomplices – Orji Osita and Ezike Nonso, Dan Okoro, were acquitted by Justice Olabisi Akinlade, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Frauds Unit, Lagos, spoke with Punch, beaming with pride as he reminisced on some of the details of the case, which he said he had hitherto never spoken about publicly. He also spoke about the tremendous pressure he faced to drop the case before his team, could  crack one of the most shocking homicide cases handled by the police in the last 10 years.

Tragedy struck on Thursday at the infamous "Ugwu Omiri Lawyer" on Anara - Umuahia expressway in the okohia community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, where a Policeman who should be protecting, shot a 16-year-old boy Obinna Iwuoha dead, leaving 3 others in coma. It was gathered that the incident occurred when youths, mainly teenagers who gathered for a church rally for their church crusade which was billed to start on March 25 (today) had a flat tyre, at “Ukwu Omiri lawyer”, a metre away from where some police men were on a road duty. It was alleged that one of the police officers insisted that the youths must remove their vehicle from the place, but the youths of Emmanuel Healing Power Ministry Incorporated, Uguiri, told the cop they were unable to move a vehicle with a flat tyre. The parents of a baby girl who was born with her heart beating outside her chest have made a desperate plea for help so she can receive life-saving surgery abroad. Little Laraib Zahid was born naturally in in a government-run hospital in Pakistan’s Multan city earlier this month. According to the SunUK, the tiny tot seems otherwise healthy – she breathes normally and is active – but doctors are baffled as to why her heart is not inside her body. Her doctors have reassured her parents that her heart is functioning normally, but she urgently needs  an operation to place it inside her body.

It has been alleged that the  family of late Dr. Orji Allwell Chiawolamoke, who jumped into the Lagoon on Sunday from the Third Mainland Bridge while on his way back from church, yesterday chased sympathisers and journalists away from their Abule-Ijesha home at Somolu area of Lagos State. This came as the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, established a Suicide Prevention Service Centre. About noon, Orji’s elder brother arrived and rushed into the apartment. A few minutes later, he ordered all the sympathisers, journalists and church members to leave. Orji’s elder brother, who was visibly angry, marched everybody to the gate and thereafter shut it. He warned journalists, who besieged their house to leave as the death of their brother was a complex one. He said: “We don’t want to see family members, journalists and neighbours. We are mourning our brother; we need privacy to sort out something. We didn’t invite journalists.”

A school principal has been left dead, after an 18-seater bus, carrying her and other principals going for a meeting in Kwale, Delta State,  somersaulted this morning, between Oghara and Mosogar Ethiope west local government. Other principals who survived the accident, sustained serious injuries and have been  rushed down Delta state university teaching hospital, Oghara.

Lagos State Police have recovered the real body of Dr. Oji Allwell, after the victim committed suicide on Sunday evening. You can see the photos after the cut. Dr Allwell had told his driver to park his Jeep with Lagos number plate LND 476 EE on the popular bridge that he wanted to have a confidential discussion with his client. Unknown to the driver, his boss was on a suicide mission and leapt into the lagoon at around 5p.m between Adekunle and Adeniji end of the Third Mainland Bridge.

A middle aged public school teacher in Ibadan, Adeyinka Adelakun, on Thursday, narrated how his wife, Kafayat, poured boiling water on his manhood which seriously injured him. Adelakun had approached an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court at Agodi in Ibadan seeking the dissolution of his three-year-old marriage to his wife on grounds of threat to life and constant fighting. He also prayed the court to allow him to have in his custody their two-year –old child so that he could effectively take care of the child. According to the plaintiff, Kafayat is in the habit of fighting him and threatening him whenever they  have domestic issues to resolve.

The unthinkable happened to a peacemaker when he jumped in to separate a fight at a birthday party in Abia state last weekend. Young man lost a huge chunk of his ear which was sliced off during the commotion. A pastor with the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Waleola Sunday, has been sentenced to three years in prison for child molestation today. Mr. Sunday was jailed for defiling male children living near his church at Oke Aro area of Akure. Mrs. Victoria Bob-Manuel of the Akure Chief Magistrate Court sentenced him to prison after he was found guilty of the offense. Officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State had arrested the prophet after a tip-off. Ebiriku David, the legal officer of the NSCDC told the Court that the pastor was a "serial homosexual" who was in the habit of seducing young males.
