                                  About 20 people, mostly children, were feared killed and several others injured following a clash between farmers and Fulani herdsmen in Numan local government area of Adamawa State last night Monday, November 20th. According to reports, trouble started when a farmer was killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The farmers in the community came together and carried out a reprisal attack.

  The death toll in the suicide bomb attack that took place inside a mosque in Mubi community in Adamawa state this morning has risen to 50. A teenage boy strapped with explosives, attacked the Madina mosque in the Unguwar Shuwa area of Mubi, Adamawa state, killing the worshippers.                     A fatal accident involving a trailer, an SUV, and a motorcycle claimed the life of a bike rider and his female passenger in Awka on Sunday. According to reports, the okada rider was riding against traffic with his passenger when they were knocked down by an oncoming SUV moving in the opposite direction, and a trailer coming behind the SUV crushed the occupants of the bike at the Kenneth Dike Library axis of the Awka - Onitsha Expressway.

                                 Former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme, has died. He was aged 85. The elder statesman was flown to a UK hospital last week Sunday to continue his treatment for a chest infection.  A statement from his family signed by his brother and the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme said that he died by 10:00 pm in a London clinic, Sunday.

                             Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has agreed to step down after 37 years in power. He is expected to officially announce his departure on live television tonight.  Prior to resigning, the elderly dictator was in a state of psychological collapse, crying for his dead son and late first wife, refusing to speak or wash and staging a desperate hunger strike, DailyMail reports. He has until noon local time on Monday to resign as president or impeachment proceedings will start, Zanu-PF said.

                           The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared incumbent Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, as the winner of the state governorship election that held yesterday November 18th. He pulled a total of 195, 256 votes to beat his close rival, APC's Tony Nwoye who pulled a total of 79, 885. PDP's Oseloka Obaze, pulled 60, 967 votes to come third.

      A mob descended on two members of the outlawed secessionist group, IPOB, who attempted to disrupt the governorship election holding at a ward in Nsugbe community in Anambra East local government. Recall that IPOB members ordered their members not to participate in the election since the Federal government had refused to grant them a referendum for the creation of their own country, Biafra. 

               The Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria (BCAN) have announced that its members in Lagos State will start wearing uniforms from January 1, 2018 for security and effective service delivery. According to Israel Adeshola, the National President of the association, the operational uniform would bring sanity to the service in the state and the country as a whole.  He says the association has started training its members in Lagos State and educating them on the job procedures and attitudinal change while on duty.

Anambra election – Strong politicians from different political parties, Saturday, won their respective polling units in the Anamber governorship election. At Nnewi, home of the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu‎, despite his son’s defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA won Umudim central school polling units. Result from the three polling units in the primary school indicated‎ that APGA scored 261 votes, APC 98 and PDP 80.  Below are other results collated..

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has hailed the people of Anambra State for reportedly boycotting the ongoing governorship election in the state. Speaking on the alleged low turnout that greeted the elections, spokesperson of the group, Emma Powerful, in a statement attributed the development to their directive.
